Obtain Reverse Cell Phone Lookup Free Service

By Gary Dellamora

Can one really find access to a free reverse cell phone lookup on the internet? In the past, most of us have become frustrated and disappointed with our experiences with sites that appear to offer free products or services online when in reality, they do not. Is this the same case with cell phone lookups?

Before anything else, let us understand first what we really mean when we say 'phone number lookup'? What we do basically in a "reverse lookup" service is to fish out the name of the owner and his or her address based on the entered residential phone number. This type of service can be very beneficial in many situations. For example, in the digital age when it is easy to delete a contact list information by accident, or if you have a number you want to verify before making assumptions and making wrong calls. On the internet, there are many websites that could return residential, business and toll-free phone number lookups for free.

You would realize that these free directories may not contain a complete list of cellular or unlisted numbers. Disappointment may arise if you try running a query on these numbers and you cannot find any result. In the same way, these free online reverse lookup services also do not have in their database a list of fax numbers because these are only held by carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these information exist, and are they given out for free?

True, there are sites that allow free online reverse lookups. But their data is incomplete. They do not have complete list of numbers, cellular numbers, fax and unlisted numbers in their database. These reverse look up services online charges a certain amount to their subscribers because they are also paying mobile operators and carriers for access to some of these information. They also go through all the trouble of compiling all of these data together. There are different types of subscription fees offered by these service companies: some are one-time payments good for a minimum of one year allowing you to make as many look-up runs as you want. Another is a single lookup for a much lower charge. The information is so extensive about a number that it could include the phone owner's details, address history (in case you have tried changing address while registered on that number), carrier details and phone connection status.Depending on the company, the information they hold may slightly differ. The most common are cellphone numbers, residential phones, business phones, toll-free number and pager numbers. They also claim that your queries are guaranteed confidential and legal.

There are also other reverse lookups that cover more extensive personal information such as background checks and background reports, bankruptcies, liens, public records databases including births, deaths, marriages, divorces and adoptions, sex offender records, police records, among other information. Even though none of these sites differ greatly from each other in offering access to certain types of information for a fee, note that such information is not part of your cellphone lookup site membership access.
