Have More Fun Online by Gaming

By Ola Lane

A newbie to online gaming can maybe feel hesitant and awkward. Quite often the people you meet seem to know everything and don't care to be bothered with new players.

Taking everything and trying to fit in can feel impossible. Seems no one wants to be bothered to play with the rank newb. The pace can be so fast it feels like you're the perpetual rear guard. Oh - are you a lefty? And have you been blowing off getting that left-handed mouse? You're gonna need one - stat, but no worries about that. We want you to have the most fun possible with your online gaming; and right now we're going to talk about a few tricks you can use.

This involves reading the forums and websites for your favorite games. Why is that a must-do action? Simple - it's important to find out fast when something new or important happens such as game fixes (patches), special events activities, and the like - so on and so forth. Some of these things are only announced on forums or blogs so try your best to keep up. You will benefit from alot of practice. It takes alot of time to fully master the set of skills necessary to become a benefit to your team. You should not set your expectations too high for your first try. Becoming accustomed to your left handed mouse will take time. Gaming is like anything else: you need to work at it if you want to get good at it. The more you practice your gaming skills, the better gamer you will be. The better gamer you are, the more fun you will have.

Be a team player. MMORPG's are very much alike any team sport. You need to be able to take directions from people more experienced than you.

The whole thing with online games is they're supposed to be fun for everyone. It can be easy to get so wrapped-up in something that it becomes super-serious - not good for anyone.

If you play like you're superior, and you're a spoiled brat; that's a fast way to people ignoring you and not wanting you around. As always... if you're a lefty, there's so much more to online gaming than having that whiz-bang left-handed mouse. There's more to gaming than that left-handed mouse thing.
