Lexmark S 1620 And Lexmark S 1620 Toner Offer Excellent Print Quality

By Ben Pate

Another great piece of printing equipment is the Lexmark S 1620. Lexmark has done it again with this printer as the company is known for manufacturing high quality printers.

One of the things I noticed about the Lexmark S 1620 is that it's a rather cost effective printer when compared to other printers that have similar features. Features alone, however, shouldn't be your reason to buy the printer because what really needs to be looked at is print quality. After all, you don't want a printer with tons of features but mediocre print quality.

Probably the best thing about a Lexmark S 1620 printer with compatible Lexmark S 1620 Toner Cartridge is that it's far cheaper than all the other printers that have the same functions and features. Even though I believe that features and functions are not something you should primarily look at in a printer since a printer needs to be more about print quality than anything else.

The good thing about the 1620 is that it accommodates many sheets of paper, enough so that running to load the tray to finish a job it eliminated. If, however, you still need more space, you can always include the optional Lexmark paper tray. I have always felt frustrated when it was my turn to print and the printer ran out of paper, but it's my guess that this should keep even the busiest office paper full for the whole day.

This particular printer, however, does not really incorporate any cutting edge features. If I had to guess, it would be because it's not very expensive. That doesn't change the fact that it does the job of producing excellent prints. I went ahead and tested the printer using Lexmark S 1620 Toner Cartridge on a number of documents to see how it performed.

We started testing the printer with a few test pages. The text tests were positive and very impressive, however text is something that Lexmark has always excelled at. The mixed prints were a different story because what we got was mixed results. Some things printed out fine while others weren't so good. However the text at low resolutions and high resolutions were both excellent. Clip art and illustrations also looked like it would pop out of the page but pictures didn't look as good.

The text looked great and low-resolution clipart shined. This is why I would say that it's more of a text printer than anything else. We also had to test the printer at high resolutions. It took some time for the printer to begin to warm up, but once it had reached the point where it printed, the printing was pretty fast and impressive. The difference I saw was that of only a few short seconds that the printer took to get started.
