Cheap Gaming Computers Do Exist

By Ian Graves

Are you looking for cheap gaming computers? A lot of people seem to think that affordable gaming computers are a waste of time or rip off. This is far from the truth! If you are playing the same games they are and they spend 4,000 more than you, who got ripped off? Cheap gaming computers can still be updated just like the rest of them.

You can get quality gaming computers at reasonable prices. The smaller, cheaper manufactures offer a lot of the same specs, just without all of the expensive add-ons. Do you really need them anyway? The point is to get a gaming computer that you can afford. Well unless you want to trade you car in for the name brand computers!

Here are the four main components:

Processor: If you can, get a dual core. If you can afford it, get a quad core. If you still have money left over try to get multiple dual or quad cores. In regards to the processor the more the better. Just remember this is the brains of the operation. Each component is important to your gaming system.

Memory: Another key component to your gaming computer. Too little memory and your computer games will not work properly. The normal computer has 2GB of memory. You will want at least 4GB, if you want your games to keep up with you.

Video Card: Try getting a video card with 512MB. That is, if you want a fair shake at winning your game. Without the proper video card you will not be able to react fast enough to keep up with the game. Unless you enjoy getting far in your game only to be knocked out before the final round, make sure you have a proper video card.

Cooling System: There's is nothing worse than beating a mega boss within an inch of its life, only to have your PC overheat and crash. There are two predominate types of cooling systems in gaming systems: air cooled and liquid cooled. Most PCs use a fan to pull the hot air off of the processor. Some systems take a radiator approach to cooling, piping liquids through the PC. The liquid approach is the most effective, but also the most expensive.

Affordable cutting edge gaming computers do exist. You may even find they have weekly sales on different models. A lot of these websites will provide forums for their members to get helpful hints and troubleshooting problems. They claim to provide excellent customer service. It is very believable if you take a look at their blogs and customer feedback.

Cheap gaming systems serve the same purpose as the expensive models. Unless you know plenty about building cheap gaming computers or want to tinker or learn about gaming systems, it is not wise to build one on your own. This can become very expensive very fast.
