Gamers Go Green With a Wii Charge Station!

By Chad Chambers

You've got your Wii Gaming Console and you're loving it. Just like the rest of the world you have been bitten by the Wii bug. When you are having a good time gaming, however, you might not think of the one big downside to the Wii gaming console and that is the Wii remote batteries.

The Low Down

Each year, in America alone, there are over 84,000 TONS of alkaline batteries that are thrown away. Alkaline batteries make up 20% of the household hazardous materials that end up in landfills. No small percentage.

The Danger Posed

So whats the danger?

While we innocently use batteries at home with no fear of danger, lurking deep inside the household batteries are hazardous toxins and mercury that can be released into the environment once they begin to decay in a landfill.

Environmentalists worldwide are crusading to reduce the number of alkaline batteries that are making it into our landfills. Their goal is to reduce or even eliminate the number of batteries that are releasing their poisons into the environment.

What Can be Done About It?

You may be saying - "I just wanted to enjoy my Wii gaming console, I didn't mean to hurt the environment". Luckily there is a course of action you can take that will help reduce the problem. What is the solution?

The solution to this moral dilemma is the Wii Charge Station. The Wii Charge Station allows you to recharge your Wii remote batteries with ease. One rechargeable battery can be recharged about 2000 times and can replace up to 300 throwaway batteries.

The reduction of poisonous materials seeping into our landfills will be greatly reduced if gamers simply choose to use rechargeable batteries in their Wii remote controls.

The Wii charge station saves your landfills, saves you money on batteries, and as a huge side bonus, it makes sure the next time youre ready to pick up a remote and play, your batteries will have the juice to perform.
