Buy Video Games Cheaper

By John Craddock

If you are a video gamer, then you will be well aware that video games can be quite expensive at times. See my top tips on saving money when buying video games.

When you're a gamer, you can easily spend hundreds of pounds each year on your favourite video games. While you can get a lot of value for your money, this can often be too expensive. Luckily, there are ways that you can save money buying your favourite video games.. You won't have to sacrifice quality and you can still get the same amount of games as you normally would. You'll just be spending a lot less money!

Pre-Order early. Lots of retailers put video games on offer before their release. Windows 7 operating system was 120 on many retailers' sites, yet I managed to pre-order a copy from Tesco for 40 in a 2-day special promotion! This example can be applied to video games. I recently searched around for a good pre-order deal on the massive upcoming game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. After 1 hour of searching around, I came across a site selling it for 36.95, everywhere else was 45.99. That's nearly a saving of 10!

Purchase second hand. Wait until your favourite game is released, then search around on sites such as eBay. Find it second hand; you could save 10 or more. If the game has only just been released, you can be sure the game will be in like-new condition.

Most online retailers accept "promo codes". Do a search on Google for the shops name your looking to buy from, with the phrase "promo codes" after it. Nearly all retailers have a promo code, spend 10 minutes looking and you're likely to find one, even if its only for free delivery.

All of my tips can save you loads of money off video game purchases. I use to use all of these tips myself, before I came across a site that combined all of the tips I listed, but did it in seconds. It's a tool designed for buying video games, it scans and checks the latest prices from every online retailer and lists the best price. Not only does this save me loads of money, but it also saves me hours of my own time! www.checkgameprices.com is the site I use, I highly recommend using it for any video game purchases.

Take action and save yourself a small fortune!
